Boarding your pets while on Honeymoon

Finding the correct care for your pet while you’re on Honeymoon

Taking care of the little ones

Weddings can cause us enough stress without having the extra worry of where you will board your pets while you are on honeymoon.  Planning ahead is key to ensuring both you and your furry family are happy.

First of all find a Kennel that meets these criteria:
  • Veterinary Approved & Recommended
  • Allows visits & checks prior to boarding
  • Requires all dogs to have a kennel cough vaccine
  • Animals have to be treated for fleas/worms
  • Ask about the experience of the owners/handlers
Questions you may want to ask:
  • Ask about exercise and walks.  If your dog isn’t good on the lead for example, you can ask them how they will handle this.
  • If you are boarding a cat, will there be a scratching post or other things to entertain and can you bring your own?
  • Food – What do they feed the boarders? Also you may want to bring your own to avoid a diet disruption.
  • Are they contactable for updates when you are away?
  • Will they be mixing with other animals?
  • Do they have access to an emergency vet?
  • Do they have insurance?

If you think of anything that should be added, just let us know in a comment below.
