‘My Dream Wedding’ is an Irish owned and Irish based wedding specialist company created specifically with the Irish Bride in mind. The company was set up by Debbie Kearney who, having organised her own wedding, explored the wedding market for months on end to find all the “special little extras” that are a must have for today’s bride. After the hustle and bustle of sourcing and co-ordinating every aspect of her day, Debbie felt there was a need for a more concise and convenient store in Ireland. The result is a “One Stop Wedding Shop” – ‘My Dream Wedding’.

Funny Wedding Cake Toppers
“While preparing for my own wedding, I discovered that all the organising and planning takes a lot out of you and that searching the Internet for my dream wedding accessories was time consuming and exhausting. So I decided to take the hassle and fuss out of it for future brides. I have sourced some of the best quality and unique products from around the world and put them together on my own Irish website, therefore reducing time and money and taking away the worry of costly postal and customs charges”

Funny Wedding Cake Toppers
Weddings are a complicated business these days, but with My Dream Wedding’s comprehensive catalogue of goods and services, you’ll have everything covered – even things you may not have thought of. If you’re pressed for time, we can help you source whatever you need.

Funny Wedding Cake Toppers
My Dream Wedding is high on the fun factor. Our range of diamante clothing goes down well with brides looking for a bit of glam at the hen party or on the morning of the wedding. Disposable cameras are a popular choice for keeping an informal record of the day. Gifts for the bridal party and the parents are much sought after too. My Dream Wedding also has a comprehensive catalogue of wedding staples like veils, garters and that much sought after “Something Blue”.

Arrrrrghhh, we love, love, love these! Why couldn’t we think of them? So easy to do, but look spectacular on any table.

Stylish Table Numbers
These were imagined and then designed by ‘Tuppence’ of Momfetti.com and you can check out Tuppence’s lovely handmade goodies at her Etsy Shop.
You will need:

A Note from Tuppence on Choosing Paper:
When you are choosing paper, make sure it is strong enough to stand on its own and that it will hold up to people touching it. Also, it has to be strong enough to support the structure of the numbers.
For me, cardstock was readily available, fairly cheap, and sturdy enough to do the job. I would assume fabric or paper that was first cut then heavily “modge-podged” afterward *should* be strong enough. But that’s a lot of work and pretty messy so I haven’t tried it myself.
I used standard 100# cardstock. 100-110# is what they sell in stores as “industry standard” for scrapbooking. It literally is nothing special or hard to find.
When you hold cardstock up to the light, you can’t see through it. To see the effect the candle will give, you can take a flashlight in to the store with you, and by pressing it directly on the back of the paper you will see what the illumination will look like. Using the “handmade” same-weight paper with the bits of flowers and leaves would give you a more varied illumination with highlights and shadows, and the flecks of flowers/leaves will appear in silhouette.
Read step-by-step instructions .

We came across these DIY Fabric Poms from the very creative people over on www.oncewed.com

DIY Wedding Decorations
They have so many creative uses… hung above tables, chair aisle decor, or an alternative to the expensive flower poms that flower girls use to walk down the aisle.

Supplies: Fabric, scissors, hot glue gun, and chinese lanterns.

Step 1: Cut circles out of fabric.
Step 2: Fold the circle in half and put a little hot glue on the center, then fold over to secure.
Step 3: Apply more hot glue to the bottom of the folded circle.

Step 4: Press the bottom of the folded circle with the hot glue onto the chinese lantern.
Step 5: Repeat these steps until the whole lantern is covered. Once finished, attached some fabric to the metal frame of the lantern to hang.

Planning a 2010 wedding? You might want to incorporate turquoise into the colour scheme for your big day.
The shade has been named the colour of the year for 2010 by professional colour standards provider Pantone, which highlights turquoise’s soothing properties thanks to its tropical connotations.
“In many cultures, turquoise occupies a very special position,” says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.
She adds: “It is believed to be a protective talisman, a colour of deep compassion and healing, and a colour of faith and truth.”
