Let your guests hook up before the wedding.

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

We think this is one of the best things we’ve seen yet.  Have you ever attended a wedding where you didn’t really know anyone?  Have you ever had trouble doing a table plan, because you don’t know who’ll get on?

All your problems can be sorted thanks to a genius idea by OneWed.com.  The guest hook up is kind of marketed at the single guests, i.e. match-making, but having the majority of your guests registered will just allow them to put faces to names, and get to know each other a little.

The system uses Facebook connect to manage all the registrations, but everything stays private between the people you invite.

We’re ridiculously excited about this, and we’ve already sent the links on our friends getting married this year!  Let us know if you have signed up and how it is working.

What little Ms. Beckham wants, she gets!  Vera Wang designed Victoria’s dress which we bet cost an arm and a leg.  This dress was one of the most replicated by brides after Posh wore it.  Obviously not all designed by V. Wang.

Would you pay 99p for your wedding dress?

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

24 Year Old Suzanne Daniel picked up her wedding dress for just 99p on Ebay.  It was a made to measure gown direct from China.  After opting for insurance on top of shipping, she paid a grand total of £86.  Still an absolute bargain, but comments on the internet were rife, mostly about slave labour in factories.

Video Game themed wedding

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

Aidra Frazier and Ernest Leitch had an unforgettable wedding just last month.  They based their theme on a video game ‘Katamari Damacy’.

We initially struggled with planning the wedding, we wanted something uniquely us.  We came up with and rejected a lot of ideas.  Somewhere between late one night and early one morning we came up with an idea that inspired both of us.

It begins with the video game Katamari Damacy,  after the universe is destroyed the players must put it back together. It starts with a small sticky ball called a katamari.  It begins with small household objects like coins and push pins, as the katamari grows you can pick up larger objects until the universe is put back together.
